In normal mode the tools close in high speed then decelerate to pressing speed before the optical sensing is muted 2mm above the material. At any point in the stroke if any obstruction is detected above the mute point (ie. an object is found in the path of the laser) the system will force the machine to stop. The punch will not touch the obstruction.
